LEADING FROM BEHIND
Hours after Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney visited Louisiana in the aftermath of Hurricane Isaac on Friday, White House press secretary Jay Carney announced President Barack Obama would call an audible in his schedule and visit Louisiana on Monday to assess the storm's damage.
Obama's leading-from-behind reaction to Romney's visit reaffirmed Clint Eastwood's empty chair analogy.
Of course, the Lefties and their media are lashing out at Clint Eastwood, other men, women and children....They've got NOTHING else...no successful programs to show after three years...not domestic, not foreign, not economic and not social. If they did not lash out, it would be like broadcast dead air or the proverbial crickets...wouldn't it be nice if we all were indeed debating this administration's SUCCESSFUL programs?

WHY INDEED
So, if
Conservatives are waging a war on women, why are “rape free zones” needed at
OWS protests but NOT at Tea Parties?

SHARE THE LOVE
The idea of a tolerant liberal is a myth. Their idea of
toleration is stop believing the operating assumptions of limited government,
moral absolutes, rational sexual behavior, private property, decentralized
civil government, freedom of speech, the right to bear arms, the Constitution
and we’ll tolerate
you.
And if you don’t do what we demand
of you, we’ll shut down your business, take you to court, boycott you, keep you
from working in this town again, and ridicule you in the press. If you’re
really stubborn, we’ll pray to our inner god and call down your destruction.

LET'S SEE WHAT STICKS...
As many
everyday Americans know by now, the past three-and-a-half to four years have
generally seen the unraveling of the Democratic Party, as its progressive side
has done its best to unravel what’s left of the greatest, freest nation in the history of man. Of that particular subset of individuals, Harry Reid has
continued to demonstrate to all who are politically well-informed that he’s
willing to do and say whatever he and/or the other really important people in
his party deem necessary in their desperate attempts to cling to power. The
most recent example of Reid’s (and liberals’) outrageous,schoolyard-name
calling is his accusation that Governor Mitt Romney “hasn’t paid taxes in ten
years”.
That’s great, Harry. Just throw
it out there, no sourcing… just see if it’ll stick to the walls of the 49% of
people who pay no income taxes. Nice. Further, be sure to do it when you’re on
the floor of the Senate, a place from which you have legal immunity.
That’s what I call courage and
real manhood right there. Yes sir!
The other attacks on Mitt
Romney’s character are so vicious that they seem completely to contradict what
I’ve come to learn of him. If each accusation is true, then documentation
should be provided. That’s all the American people want – honesty.
Much like Harry Reid and the
Democrats, however, this tactic of slinging baselessness seems to be a plague
upon our politics, and, unfortunately, it leads to unqualified people being
elected to some of the most powerful public policy positions in our country….and
I’m not only talking about Congress here, either. Seems to have worked out
pretty well, hasn’t it?

BACON RULES
Muslims in New York managed to survive a terrifying encounter with a package of bacon at a park event last weekend.
CAIR's hate crime hopes unfortunately turned from sizzle to fizzle when it was learned that the food had only been left there for the wildlife.

I'M WITH YOU MR. ROMNEY
Everywhere I go in America, there are
monuments that list those who have given their lives. There is no
mention of race, their party affiliation or what they did for a
living. They lived and died under a single flag, fighting for a
single purpose. They pledged allegiance to the United states of
America. So, Mr. President, take your campaign of division and anger
and hate back to Chicago and let us get about rebuilding and
reuniting America.
~Mitt Romney~
WHY DISTRACTIONS ARE NECESSARY FOR THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION
Middle class Americans see
their income drop under this administration:
- Home values have dropped by 40%.
- Wealth has dropped by 28%
- 49% of Americans are on Government subsistence.
- Gas prices have risen by 103.79%
- Food prices have risen over 40% over the last nine months.
OH LOOK, ROMNEY'S TAX
RETURNS!

SURPRISE, SURPRISE!
The Hezbollah terrorist released by the Obama Administration to Iraq out of respect for the country’s sovereignty won’t make it to the U.S. to face trial for killing five American soldiers.
We all knew this would happen back in December when the commander-in-chief handed over the Lebanese militant, Ali Mussa Daqduq, to Iraqi officials. A mainstream newspaper presented it as a DILEMMA for the president as American troops prepared to exit Iraq. Daqduq had been in U.S. military custody in Iraq since 2007 for his involvement in a carefully orchestrated plot that killed, kidnapped and tortured American military officers.
The atrocities took place in a city called Karbala, south of Baghdad in early 2007. Around a dozen terrorists dressed in U.S. military uniforms opened fire on Americans after approaching a camp in five sports utility vehicles resembling U.S. transports. One U.S. soldier died at the scene and four others were kidnapped, tortured and executed. Daqduq, a Hezbollah commander, was the mastermind.
But President Obama didn’t want to remove the terrorist from Iraq without permission from the country, in order not to violate its sovereignty. He also refused to take Daqduq to the U.S. Naval base in Guantanamo Cuba, which houses other high-value terrorists, because the facility is an anathema in the Middle East and Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri Kamal al-Maliki would not approve the “unacceptable” Guantanamo option.
So Obama handed Daqduq over to the Iraqis even though several members of congress pointed out that it would be the same as freeing him. Apparently, Iraq pinky promised to hold him accountable for murdering our soldiers. No one, probably not even Obama, really believed that and this week a national news wire story confirmed it.
It turns out that two Iraqi courts have found Daqduq not guilty of masterminding the 2007 raid on an American military base and just a few days ago the nation’s central criminal court ordered that he be freed immediately. As far as the Iraqis are concerned, the legal case against him is over. That’s why authorities there refused the Obama Administration’s joke of an extradition request.
This may lead some to wonder if the administration really thought Iraq ever even toyed with idea of extraditing Duqduq, who is considered a hero among Islamists? The official line is that the government believes the Hezbollah commander is a top threat to Americans in the Middle East, which is why the U.S. even bothered filing the delusional extradition request.
The Iraqi court’s decision ends the Obama Administration’s laughable, last-ditch efforts to prosecute Daqduq. A Pentagon spokesman said Daqduq “should be held accountable for his crimes” and that the U.S. “”will continue to work closely with the Iraqi government to explore all legal options to pursue justice in this case.” The first part sounds good, but the second part is a crock.

WHAT'S THAT YOU SAY.....
Romney wants to KILL Medicare?
Seriously?
Wait a minute, who was the only President, ever,
to steal from Medicare to fund his OWN pet projects?
Oh that's right, it is Obama!
Those pesky little facts.
This approach is certainly not new, I recall visiting with my Great Grand Parents near Van Buren, MO during the Johnson-Goldwater campaign. One of Johnson's tactics was the assertion that if Goldwater was elected, he would take away their social security and bless their hearts, they believed it. All the king's horses and all the king's men and the explanations from Pop and me could not convince them otherwise. Suffice to say, Goldwater did not take away their social security.

CHICAGO STYLE CON JOB
There's no question that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is an
absolute political genius -- as is the Obama campaign and Obama's Palace Guards
in the media.
Having Reid openly and audaciously lie about a Bain investor
telling him that Romney didn't pay his taxes for ten years might be the
dirtiest kind of Chicago-style politics we've seen on the national stage in a while,
but as we enter into day four of this story, it's painfully obvious -- thanks
to the media -- that the Obama campaign's strategy is working brilliantly.
Anyone who doesn’t believe Obama is behind what Reid is up to,
doesn’t want to. The media knows Team Obama is behind this, but won't say so. Because
saying so isn't part of a sleazy plan that was formulated and rolled out in
this way…
Step 1: Obama
desperately needs the media focus to stay on Romney and off his own failures,
especially with unemployment on the rise and the economy slowing to just above
recession levels. Obama also needs to find a way to give the now month-old
media narrative about Romney releasing more than two-years of his taxes new
life.
Step 2: What
better way to keep the focus on Romney and his taxes than for the Senate Majority
Leader to repeat over and over and over again the outrageous statement that
some Bain "investor" told him Romney paid no taxes over ten years.
Step 3: Naturally,
this kind of statement from a high-profile Democrat is going to swamp the
news-cycle, as will Reid's McCarthyist tacit of hurling a charge and then
demanding his political opponent prove it isn't true.
Step 4: The
media plays along by dutifully reporting Reid's charge. Suddenly we're not
talking about Obama and Obama's failures but about … Romney's taxes! The media
is also careful not to criticize President Obama for having a hand in any of
this.
Step 5: By
doubling, tripling and quadrupling down on the charge, Reid turns Romney's
taxes into a multi-day story that only grows in size. Romney and his surrogates
are forced to respond, and that makes the story even bigger. Instead of talking
about his vision for the country and getting his message out, Romney is instead
talking about … his taxes!
Step 6: Harry
Reid has nothing to lose by doing this. He's happy to take the criticism
because he risks nothing. Reid isn’t up for reelection for another five years.
Step 7: The
media plays along. By making Reid and Romney's taxes the biggest political
story of the day, the media is not talking about Obama or his failed record or
"you didn’t build that" or our staggering economy. The subject has
been changed to … Romney's taxes!
Step 8: The
media continues to cover for Obama. Yes, the very same media that demanded
Romney repudiate private citizen Donald trump is now refusing to make Obama pay
a political price for something his campaign is obviously involved in. No
one believes this is the kind of behavior a Senate Majority Leader would engage
in unilaterally just three months away from the reelection of his own party's
standard-bearer.
Moreover, Obama is accountable for Reid because Obama is THE
LEADER OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY.
Step 9: To
give this desire narrative a whole new life, add Nancy Pelosi to the mix.
Step 10: For
cover, have the media write long, angry denunciations of Reid. This gives the
media the phony aura of being "objective," but what it really does is
ensure the blame all lands on Reid and the Obama campaign isn't held
accountable for their part in this.
-----
If they wanted to, the media could end this McCarthyism by
simply doing the right thing and laying this despicable behavior where it
belongs -- at the feet of President Obama.
Do you think if House Speaker Boehner was currently running
around telling audacious lies about Obama that the media would let Romney float
above it all and not pound him senselessly until he was forced to repudiate the
behavior or Boehner was pressured to shut up?
Of course the media would.
But the media won’t here, because it's all part of the plan.

ROWDY CLUCKERS
Well, the anti-Chick-fil-A thing sort of backfired, now didn’t it? Yep, the rabid gay crowd thought they were going to shut CFA down, but instead their fascist demands that Chick-fil-A’s Presidente Dan Cathy repent of his free speech actually catapulted the fast food chain into record profits. Cha-ching!
I have one word for that homo faux pas of trying to stifle a private company’s free speech, it’s: Ahahaha. Boy, you guys really read the pulse of the American people … Not.
Now, I will give the onerous gay activists this: Aside from the huge boom in ammo sales since Obama was elected, their boycott of Chick-fil-A actually spurred the first definitive economic stimulus of the Obama era. Muchas gracias.
Look, I knew this anti-free speech/chicken sandwich protest was going to go south when frickin’ Rahm Emanuel and Edwin Mah Lee got out in front of it. They represent America about as much as I represent PETA. I kept waiting for Mugatu from Zoolander to pop out and join them by slaughtering live chickens in a Foghorn Leghorn outfit while dancing to “Do You Really Want to Hurt Me” in front of some Chippendale boys. But, alas! It didn’t happen. Who can I sue?
If there’s one thing I know about Americans it’s that they love Chick-fil-A and free speech. I guess that would be two things. And Americans peacefully showing up in the hundreds of thousands last Wednesday to Chick-fil-A restaurants from sea to shining sea showed anyone with a lick of sense that Americans are not quite ready to bow and kiss the ring of a special interest group that wants to mitigate other people’s rights to freedom of expression just because they don’t kowtow to theirs.
Which brings me to this query: What’s up with this BS that we’ve got to agree with someone’s view of gay sex before we can buy or sell chicken sandwiches? When did that edict get passed? We’re damn close to making Seinfeld’s Soup Nazi look like the most rosy, easygoing consommé ladler around.
And finally, how come the gay activists got their national dander up over Chick-fil-A’s exec not being down with Brad and Chad getting engaged, yet I haven’t heard them say diddly squat about their intentions to stage a national “Kiss In” at any American mosque or give the hundreds of black pastors who vehemently oppose gay marriage the same crap they’ve been giving Chick-fil-A. What’s the matter? You’re not scared to take them on, are you? You’re not chicken, are you?
I think this past August 1st is a foretaste of what’s coming this November 6th. It’s all about freedom for all, baby, and you dudes don’t get it. But Americans do. And they showed up in droves and waited in hot lines for hours to demonstrate they will not be bullied.

STORM CLOUDS ARE GATHERING
Boycott about so much more than a chicken sandwich
By Todd Starnes
Published July 31, 2012
Democrats in more than a half dozen major cities have led the charge – slandering Chick-fil-A’s owner and calling for all-out bans on the company’s expansion efforts in places like Chicago, Philadelphia, Boston and San Francisco.
And Chick-fil-A’s only crime is being a family-owned company that ascribes to the teachings of the Holy Bible – a belief that marriage is a union between one man and one woman.
Chick-fil-A President Dan Cathy has been called a bigot, a homophobe. The mayor of Washington, D.C., accused the company of peddling “hate chicken.”
Philadelphia City Councilman Jim Kenney introduced a resolution condemning the company -- and its president.
“This particular individual is rabidly homophobic and wants to deny Americans civil rights that are enjoyed by every other American,” Kenney said.
There are efforts under way to shut down Chick-fil-A restaurants across the country. Student groups are launching similar campaigns on university campuses.
Lost in their outrage over a belief held by a majority of the American public, is the fact that Chick-fil-A employs thousands and thousands of people.
And with unemployment hovering around 8.2 percent, you have to wonder what sort of message Democrats are trying to send to the nation.
Perhaps the party of President Obama believes it’s morally better to be unemployed than to be anti-gay marriage?
American Christians are facing uncertain times. Our nation’s values are under assault. Religious liberty has been undermined. We live in a day when right is now wrong and wrong is now right.
The vicious left-wing assault against Chick-fil-A should serve as a wakeup call to people of faith. It’s not about a chicken sandwich. It’s about the future of our country.
“Individuals have the right to decide whether or not to ‘eat mor chikin.’ But no government leader should restrict a business or organization from expanding to their district based on the personal or political views of the owners,” said Leith Anderson, president of the National Association of Evangelicals. “Such evident discrimination and attempts to marginalize those with religious values have no place in American democracy.”
Those who preach tolerance – are the least tolerant of all. And I suspect Councilman Kenney spoke for many when he issued a not-so-subtle threat to individuals like Dan Cathy who support traditional marriage.
“If he really, truly believes what he believes, that is his right to do so,” he said. “But there is often a price to pay for that.
In other words, Councilman Kenney wants people with dissenting views to shut up – or else face the consequences.
Pastors across the fruited plain addressed the attacks on Chick-fil-A from their pulpits on Sunday – but none was more eloquent or passionate than Charles Lyons – the pastor of Armitage Baptist Church in Chicago.
Lyons issued an appeal to Mayor Rahm Emanuel, urging him to reconsider the verbal assault he made on people of faith.
“Chick-fil-A’s values are not Chicago’s values,” Emanuel said. His remarks left many wondering if Christians were welcome in the Windy City.
“Mr. Mayor, do not dismiss us,” he implored. “Do not disrespect us. We too, are Logan Square. We too, are Chicago.”
The pastor admonished Emanuel without so much as a shout or a hint of anger. His remarks were peppered with applause and the occasional Amen. Midway through his appeal, Lyons paused – and delivered a not-so-subtle warning to city leaders.
“If the thought police come to Armitage Baptist Church, we will meet them at the door, respectfully, unflinchingly, willing to die on this hill holding a copy of the sacred Scriptures in one hand and a copy of the U.S. Constitution in the other,” he said.
Pay attention, people of faith.
Dark clouds are gathering. The winds of intolerance are blowing. There’s a great storm approaching.
The days of persecution are upon us.
